Syzm
ML-driven payment recovery for streaming businesses. Save the subscriptions you're about to lose.
Every streaming business loses customers it shouldn't. Cards expire. Payments fail because of a bank-side blip nobody told anyone about. Subscriptions lapse silently. By the time someone notices, the customer is gone — and re-acquisition costs ten times what retention would have.
Syzm is the ML-driven payment recovery layer that catches those losses before they finalize.
What it is
Syzm is a machine-learning-driven payment recovery platform built specifically for streaming businesses — SaaS, media, subscriptions, the recurring-billing economy. It watches the full payment lifecycle for each subscriber, predicts which failures will be permanent, intervenes on the recoverable ones, and gets out of the way of the ones that won't recover.
What it does well
Predicts before it reacts. A failed payment isn't a single event — it's a signal in a sequence. Syzm's models look at the customer's full history (prior recoveries, decline reasons, card type, geography, time-of-month, plan tier) and predict the probability that this specific failure recovers on its own, recovers with retry, recovers with intervention, or doesn't recover at all. Each outcome gets a different playbook.
Smarter retry windows. Brute-force retry is a way to get cards flagged for fraud. Syzm spaces retries based on what the model thinks the bank will do next — across issuers, BINs, and time-of-day.
Intervention that doesn't burn the customer. When the model says "this one needs a nudge," Syzm runs the right nudge — update-card email, account-recovery flow, support-ticket creation — and only the right nudge. Not all three at once.
Closed-loop measurement. Every action Syzm takes is measured against a held-out control. The model gets better month over month, and the streaming business gets a real ROI number — not a vendor's vanity dashboard.
Who it's for
SaaS companies with monthly or annual subscriptions losing 3–8% to involuntary churn.
Streaming media services where re-acquisition is expensive and the lapsed-customer queue is large.
Recurring-billing platforms that want to layer real recovery intelligence on top of Stripe / Adyen / Braintree / Recurly rather than build it themselves.
Finance teams that know payment failure is happening but can't tell their CEO what they're doing about it.
What it's not
It's not a payment processor. It sits on top of one.
It's not a dunning email tool. There are plenty of those. Syzm decides whether to dun, when to dun, and whom to dun — the email is just one of the playbooks.
It's not a black box. Every prediction is auditable, every action is logged, every model version is held against control.
